/Hm, I'm torn as to what to do today. Part of me wants to jump into my next Android App class and get to work but I also want to take an online gardening class because I just bought a giant planter which I will be filling with dirt on payday so I want to learn a thing or two before I plant my first crop.
I've got a batch of potted plants that seem to be doing well but I have no idea if I'm using best practices to keep them as healthy as they can be. I have no idea if I am watering them too little or too much. I have some plants that I'm supposed to water once a month and other that require a daily drink.
The dry plants live indoors and I know they don't need water because I did my research. The outdoor plants are mainly edible grown from seeds that I bought on a whim. I never had much of a green thumb so I never really thought past the point of putting seeds in the dirt. Now that I can see positive results from my second attempt to grow some grub, I feel I need to move past the point of trial and error.
As I write this post I think my answer is clear, just growing what I've got so far has given me a sense of pride that I wasn't really expecting. Since I'm scaling up my garden within the next week or two, I think I need to get the ball rolling with a class or two. It should only take a couple days then I can switch my focus to learning my new trade.
Ideally, this strategy will lead to a future where I am self-employed, self-fed, and eventually get to the point where I am fully self-reliant. I just have to keep reminding myself that this is going to take time and that this late life reboot is possible with patience and persistence that I know I have even if it's yet to pay off in other venture.
So, gardening class it is!!!
Talk to you tomorrow,
