I finally finished my Old School WWF Quiz app!!!

My assignment was to make a quiz app with four to ten questions that informs the user if they answer the questions right or wrong and keeps track of the score. You also had to have at least one of each type of question: a radio button question, a check box and a question where you have to type in your answer. That's pretty much it.

I think I was supposed to keep it to a simple with question and answers on a single page and if I followed that expectation I could have completed this app in a single evening. Of course, I had to go overboard by adding all kinds of bells and whistles, which led to five days of non-stop work to get all the ideas out of my head.

Part of me fears that this over doing it may come across as showing off, but I did the same thing in the past when I was building apps for classes that no one, even the instructor, was ever intended to see. I feel that the extra effort will leave me with a portfolio worth end produce instead of just meeting the needs of the course.

That and the fact that I'm a bit of a perfectionist when I'm actually interested in what I'm doing. I do this extra work to silence my mind that gets hyper-focused on areas of interest to me.

Oh yeah, there's one more cool feature. If you decide to play in one player mode, you get to have a trivia battle with a robot.

Above is a link if you want to give it a shot and provide feedback. Once I am done with this class I plan to build on this by adding more than the ten required questions as well as making it so that you can challenge your friends through the app using two phones instead of the two-player feature that is currently implemented, making you have to pass the phone back and forth.

Now that I'm done with this, it's time to move on to my next class, which means I should start building my next app by the end of tomorrow.

Talk to you then,
