/This morning I had to make one final call to clear up the call center chaos that I wrote about yesterday. This time, I knew for a fact that they had all the proper forms so I was hoping it would be a brief interaction minus any more hurdles. Of course, I had to wait a half hour to get a human on the line, but that was kind of an expectation so I was only annoyed to a rational level. This was just a call to verify the receipt of a document, a document that I knew for sure I was correct this time so everything should have gone smoothly...
NOPE...
The guy on the line starts to tell me that I sent the wrong form to which my blood starts to boil. The document in question was a paystub and they needed a specific month's proof of wages. The problem I had yesterday was that I sent the paystub for the hours worked during said specific month when they needed the paystub that was actually written for that specific month's payment.
They now have both so I could grasp the problem the guy was having. He said he was confused because there's a two-week gap between the end of the pay period and the day they cut the check. He read went so far as to read the dates one the two paystubs that show they run from the 16th of one month to the 15th of the next, between the two checks the entire month was accounted for yet he was still confused.
I was ready to explode but kept my calm as I explained once again that I get paid once a month and all the information they need is there. He must have checked with a manager because after fifteen minutes of silence he returned and told me that everything went through, not even acknowledging his conceived problem.
Whatever, it's now over so I no longer care. Now I just need to get my moral back up to get back to work on my latest assignment. For some reason, I've been too stuck in my head over the past four days to be able to focus enough to get as much done as I was hoping. Maybe dealing with this issue will lead to less stress and get me back in the game.
We'll see what happens and as always I'll keep you posted if and when anything does.
Talk to you tomorrow,
