So I ended up watching the debates last night and I have to say that it was pretty uneventful. For all the hype, I was expecting Hillary to be wheeled out in a gurney while Trump was wheeled out in a Hannibal Lecter mask, instead, I saw two toned down monsters going over the same talking points that led to nothing new.

Though I didn't get anything out of the candidates, I did learn that anyone that claimed either side won is full of shit. I watched the debate on MSNBC because it was the first streaming source that I saw on YouTube. As I said, I felt the debate were very tame and uneventful but as soon as the coverage when back to the commentators, one overly excited voice claimed that it was surreal and the strangest thing he had ever seen, which is what I wanted to see but in all honesty it just wasn't.

Then I wake up this morning to see both sides screaming about how great their candidate did. I'm not falling for it. No matter who ends up the next president there is going to be no winners this year. We're fucked no matter how this thing turns out.

One I side not, I am very happy that I've found a podcast that speaks to my political stance. As a fan of stand-up comedy, I've been aware of Jimmy Dore for quite a while. I've always liked him but didn't know that he had his own show. Then I found a YouTube clip where he was going off about how both Clinton and Trump are horrible candidates. I felt relieved that I finally found someone that shares my political opinion.

I listen to a lot of podcasts and even the ones that claim to be centralist still lean heavily one way or the other. The host will yell about the system being screwed and that both sides suck, then go on to promote one whichever side they lean toward. Not Jimmy Dore, he's all for a third party candidate and is unapologetic about it. It's a voice you just don't hear these days so it's very comforting to have this show to turn to that helps me feel sane.

I can't wait for this whole thing to be over with.

Oh well, time to get to work.

Talk to you tomorrow,
