Oh man, I am really struggling to start this day. The problem is that it's a Monday that's coming off yet another lost weekend where I spent a day and a half powering through an entire box of wine. I didn't even plan to drink because I've been using the weekend to fit in more novel rewriting hours but when the family came over with booze in hand I couldn't help but give in and play along.

As always, when sharing an "I've jumped off the wagon," posts, I don't feel that these occasional benders are that big of a deal because I've never felt cravings where I needed a drink to satisfy an uncontrollable urge. So I'd say that any issue I might have with booze has nothing to do with frequency.

With that said, I do feel that I have a problem that once I do get started I will continue to drink either until I pass out or until all of my supplies are gone, this is why I often resort to drinking wine from out of a box because this is enough to where I can keep at the desired level of drunk for at least two days.

Usually, the first day is the one designated for heavy drinking but this time, the fact that I wasn't drinking alone, I spent the night sipping at a slower safer pace. Yesterday, on the other hand, I was left alone to do what I want and must have gone through the close to four litters that were left in the box while having a pretty good time.

This morning I woke up super early in the morning and my stomach was killing me from the volume of liquid that it was fighting to store. Though my tummy did attempt to put up a fight, the content inside was urgent to make its escape. Per usual, I felt great after flushing my system but I also still had a bit of a buzz that was just strong enough to prevent me from falling asleep.

This left me feeling like I was stuck in a shitty limbo where I was too tired to focus on my computer while at the same time I was also to antsy to actually get more sleep which is why I'm not publishing this post until damn near noon.

Hopefully, I'll be inspired enough by today's SNL viewing that I can easily type up my review and fit in a mid-afternoon nap. We'll see what happens and as always, I'll check in tomorrow if anything interesting takes place.

Talk to you then,

The Wicker Breaker
