Sometimes the fictional writer in me fantasizes about a day in the distant future when we've really nailed down AI to where it become impossible to tell the difference between human and computer thinking. At some point in this process, it seems like a safe bet that not only would they develop a machine capable of thought but that they would work in a personality as well.

In the early stages of the personality development, I could see software that would parse out traits from characters in movies. At first, these machines would be more like mimic bots doing impersonations so these fictional snapshots of human interaction would be more of a reference for an impersonation rather than feeling like it's coming from within.

Once the machines nail this down, I could see the next step being to synchronize the software with social media accounts to delve deeper into what it means to be human. Keep in mind, they'd still be getting a fictionalized version of an individual only it would be an individual's fiction so it would feel more like a self.

By this point, AI might then set out to develop personalities on their own. It's at that point that I hope a personality bot will discover this site and sort through the years and years of rambling to really nail down the truly mundane existence of modern man.

I can't wait to live forever as a self-doubting robot but until that can happen, it's time to get back to work.

Talk to you tomorrow when I check in with more nonsense.

Sincerely,

The Wicker Breaker
