/I really try to keep my political post to a minimum but right now I have something on my mind that I have to get out and since I know no one will read anything here, this is the perfect place for me to do my venting.
Actually, I wouldn't say that this is a political post as it's the logic of the argument that I have a problem with over the actual political point of the example I am about to use. When I woke up this morning and started my waking routine of checking my emails and social media I was greeted by a meme that is a genre stupidity that drives me crazy.
Again, both sides do this ALL THE TIME so what I'm about to share has very little to do with the subject. The meme reads "New Rule: If you shouted "Lock her up" before but aren't shouting "Lock him up" now, you have to admit it was never about the emails and you're a hypocrite."
What this logic says to me is, "This thing that I used to say wasn't a problem back when you were ranting and raving about it because it was affecting your team and the fact that it is now affecting my team and you are now treating the issue the way I did back then, you sir, are the one that is wrong."
When it seems like the logic should be, "Oh, now I see your point and both of these people should be locked up," because this problem with hypocrisy goes both ways in this style of argument especially when the argument is based on something that both sides have legitimately done.
If it's bad, it's bad and you turning a blind eye to the issue earlier makes you the hypocrite when you finally come around and think that everyone should join in because you were the one that created the argument for why it wasn't important in the first place.
The thing that sucks the worst is being stuck in a country where I have NO party because I have to get this shit from both ends.
So, that's how I woke up this morning!
Talk to you tomorrow,
The Wicker Breaker
