Dateline 4-19-2017

Oh my god, I am so exhausted today. I think it will get better once I get some food in me and fully wake up but for now, I can barely think straight. It's been about a month since my quality of sleep has dropped into the dumps and the buildup of sleep deprivations is really beginning to affect me.

That's why I'm going to try something new which I started today and I think is why I feel extra tired right now. I first woke at my usual waking hours. I was feeling extra run down and when I looked at my phone to see that I only ended up get four and a half hours of restful sleep, I decided to roll over and see if I could get it to my target of seven. 

It took another four and a half hours just to get three of sleep but it felt like I only slept a minute. As tired as I still felt, my phone was celebrating my Fitbit sleep achievement. I think I feel exhausted right now because I must have awoken straight from a deep sleep cycle.

I've now been up for about a half hour and I'm starting to feel more energetic in a way that you don't get from caffeine. So, from here on out, well, until I see how well it works, I plan to stay in bed until I get my target seven hours a day whether or not I feel I need it. 

Alright, now I'm going to pressure cook some potatoes and beans and add some of the pork from yesterday's experiment. I was going to write a big post about my pressure cooking progress but it took so long to slow cook the pork loin, I have yet to do more than just taste a bite of it before heading off to bed, so I'll write a more detailed post about to process and results when I check in here tomorrow.
