Dateline 5-11-2017

Yesterday was my first day with uninterrupted internet for the first time since Friday. It felt so nice to be able to get to everything that I needed without any frustrating delays. This allowed me to finally get caught up on the several tasks that I back-burnered during my stint of jury duty.

Now that I am caught up, I hope to not have to type the words jury duty again unless I end up serving again in the future because as far as I'm concerned, the entire experience is out of my system. Hell, I was over thinking about it after my long post about everything that went down. If I wasn't still dealing with the backlog that was created by serving, I would have stopped even referring to the fact that I served last week.

As much as I would love to hit the ground running and get back to building a surplus of content to be able to use as a safety net to make sure that this doesn't happen again, these two weeks have been so draining that my aim for the day is to knock out all of my obligations at a leisurely pace to then hit it hard tomorrow and work my way through the weekend.

As I noted yesterday, I'm also in the process of getting into a schedule where I write these Daily Breaker posts at night, in order to tap into the more interesting end of the day thoughts and observations that I find easier to delve into while the rest of the world sleeps. This probably won't happen until at least Monday, but who knows, I might feel more inspired after I fully wake up and skip the break in order to get started today.

We'll see what happens, and as always, I'll check in tomorrow with what does.

Talk to you then,

The Wicker Breaker
