/Back when I was living in Seattle, if you were to tell me that I would eventually evolve to enjoy movies, I would have punched you in the mouth, but here we are, Sunday morning at 6:30 in the AM and I am perfectly happy to be a wake and working, ready to face the day.
I think that the main difference is that, one, since I'm in charge of my own schedule, I can always roll over and go back to sleep if I am not feeling the early morning vibe. Two, I feel that since I am writing these posts and nonfictional reviews, I don't need to tap into the energy that comes with the last night world to get the inspiration that I need to do my writing.
Before, I used to often have to use my, "It's not tomorrow until I go to sleep" clause to meet my self-imposed, end of the day deadlines due to the fact that I would never even think to start writing until after the sun went down.
Between this site, and still having control of my schedule even when work comes in, I now find it nice to get all of the things that I have to do for the day done as early as I can in order to free up my thoughts for the rest of the day to either get ahead or look for more freelance work.
I still do prefer to work on deadline-less projects later in the evening but as far as my daily duties go, I really like when I manage to get everything, as far as this blog goes, done before noon which I hope to get back to after failing the last couple weeks.
Today is a special day where it's now approaching 7:00 in the AM and already have been up for a couple hours because last night I went to bed super early for some reason and now I just can't go back to bed but luckily, it's due to me feeling well rested and not just me giving up on some much-needed sleep.
Though this might too early to set as my daily target, I do hope that it breaks my two-week trend of not even waking up until after 10:00 in the AM because I really need to open up my afternoon to get back to looking for more work, instead of just doing my own thing and really struggling to get by.
I already applied for two new jobs before writing this post so wish me luck. It's now time to move on to my SNL review to see what else this Sunday has to offer. As always, I'll keep you posted if anything interesting goes down when I check in with my update tomorrow.
Talk to you then,
The Wicker Breaker
