Operation Achieve Anything: Day One-Hundred-Ninety-Three, Dateline 7-12-2018

Good morning Crickets. Welcome to day number one-hundred-ninety-three of Operation Achieve Anything. Yesterday/earlier today, considering it's currently just a little after midnight, was another successful effort into transitioning into a graveyard split schedule where I plan to do all my blogging in the early AM to then do my day job when there is sun.

Good morning Crickets. Welcome to day number one-hundred-ninety-two of Operation Achieve Anything. Yesterday, I tried my plan to blog on a graveyard schedule once again and I have to say that it worked like a charm, to the point where I may just try to stick to this schedule even after I'm no longer bedridden with sciatica. It turns out, I really miss writing at night while the rest of the world sleeps, plus it breaks up my blogging and day job work so that there's no way for them to blend to make blogging feel like a chore as I rush to finish things up in order to meet the needs of my paid work.

Good morning Crickets. Welcome to day number one-hundred-ninety-one of Operation Achieve Anything. Though yesterday turned out to be a complete disaster, following a very successful weekend, I think I'm on the right track to finally figure the sciatica schedule out. For those of you not playing along at home, my sciatica started to act up a couple of weeks ago, and now I'm to the point where I can not sit in my chair for more than a couple of minutes before my entire left leg feels like it's on fire.

Good morning Crickets. Welcome to day number one-hundred-ninety of Operation Achieve Anything. Yesterday's experiment in taking a day off was a complete success as far as yesterday goes but now I'm stuck with the consequences of only committing to half of the entire plan. Where I was successful in avoiding work, up to, and including personal projects, I failed to start today's workload at midnight which was the second half of the plan.

Good morning Crickets. Welcome to day number one-hundred-eighty-nine of Operation Achieve Anything. Today, I'm trying something new in order to take a legitimate day off and not just have one where I'm going easy. Most of the time when I take a day off that means, it's the weekend and I don't have the day job, and maybe I have a backup SNL review already in the chamber and ready to post, but there's still the work involved in publishing and sharing the work, and that still leaves this Daily Breaker segment to tend to.

Good evening Crickets. Welcome to day number one-hundred-eighty-eight of Operation Achieve Anything. As you may notice, I'm getting another pretty late start to my day only this time it's truly intentional. If you've been following my progress, I've spent the past two or three days bedridden, having to type on my laptop while lying on my belly. It may not be the best way to write but at least I'm still able to get all of my work done.

Good morning crickets. Welcome to day number one-hundred-eighty-seven of Operation Achieve Anything. Today is the first day in a really long time, probably the first time since starting my SNL challenge, where I wish I had it in me to just say, "fuck it" and take the entire day off from everything. I mean, yesterday, it took over twelve hours to complete who I usually finish in six or seven.

Good afternoon crickets. Welcome to day number one-hundred-eighty-six of Operation Achieve Anything. Here we are with another late start due to my ever-changing back issue. Where it was just Sunday night that I thought it was damn near over, things really fell to shit over the past couple of days.

Good morning crickets. Welcome to day number one-hundred-eighty-five of Operation Achieve Anything. It’s the fourth of July, and I am very excited to take the entire day off. Well, at least from my day job. I still have a few things to do for this blog, but as soon as I’m done, I’m going to be bedridden for the rest of the day. Though I do have the option to work and earn a few bucks, the fact that it took me about six hours to complete a six-hour day, from having to take many breaks to cope with my back pain, has me feeling like a break is justified.

Good morning crickets. Welcome to day number one-hundred-eighty-four of Operation Achieve Anything. Today has started out to be a terrible day because I’ve been awake for two hours now and have barely gotten anything done. I’d be fine if there were a good excuse why things aren’t getting done. Hell, I’d even be happy if my late start was purely due to procrastination, but today is going super slow because my back pain has devolved to where I cannot sit for more than a couple of minutes before the pain is unbearable.

Good morning crickets. Welcome to day number one-hundred-eighty-three of Operation Achieve Anything. It’s Monday, and everything’s back to normal following another weekend warrior drinking binge that had me sick as a dog and struggling to create my pages over the past couple of days. Though the hangover is gone, my back is still being very annoying especially now that most of the pain is gone except for one sweet spot that makes it impossible to find a comfortable way to sit in my new office seat.

Good morning crickets. Welcome to day number one-hundred-eighty-two of Operation Achieve Anything. It’s Sunday, and I’m back to my regular routine following another lost Saturday. Though I still drink about two or three times a month, it’s been a while since my last blackout especially while it was still early. Typically, when I day drink, I pace myself to keep a steady buzz for an extended period as opposed to power drinking like I do when it’s the end of my day, and I just want to sleep.

Good evening crickets. Welcome to day number one-hundred-eighty-one of Operation Achieve Anything. I can’t believe it’s already so late in the day. It’s a Saturday, and last night I bought a box of wine to celebrate the weekend only to drink myself to sleep super early and then drink myself back to sleep when I woke early in the AM. When I awoke for the third time, I could hardly believe it was so late in the PM that I felt like I was being pranked.

Good morning crickets. Welcome to day number one-hundred-eighty of Operation Achieve Anything. My back pain is continuing to evolve as each corrective measure seems to fix one issue only to cause a new issue to arise. It all started with a bulk of the pain relief stemming from switching from marijuana vape pens back to smoking the actual flower. I think this is because I usually buy the cheap vape juice that helps me sleep but never did all that much for any pain.

Good morning crickets. Welcome to day number one-hundred-seventy-nine of Operation Achieve Anything. Last night I went to bed feeling pretty bummed out because I felt that I ruined my nephew's fun earlier in the day. It happened because I was in the middle of watching the episode of Saturday Night Live that I had to review for the day which is literally the only time that I can’t have him out here because he is too distracting. Any other time I’m usually writing at my desk while he watches YouTube on my TV and jumps around on my couch.

Good morning crickets. Welcome to day number one-hundred-seventy-eight of Operation Achieve Anything. Once again, I’m getting a later start than usual due to the PM pain meds that I’m taking to help me get through my latest bout of sciatica. Though it’s been really nice to get the all of this extra sleep, I don’t like the anxiety that it creates in me as I feel more rushed to make my day. With that said, I’d rather have a week filled with anxiety while my back feels better every day than to wake up extra early in pain with no idea as to whether or not my back will ever feel any better again.

Good morning crickets. Welcome to day number one-hundred-seventy-seven of Operation Achieve Anything. Here we go with another day, my back is finally started to feel a lot better but it still aches enough to where I’m still aware of the pain and fear the short bursts of sharp pain if I turn weird, stand too long, or simply step too high while I walk. I really hope that this clears up really soon because it’s growing to become a singular focus.

I’m getting a late start today because I woke up to find that my job wants me to switch departments which meant that I had to fill out even more new hire documents. Though it’s annoying that I don’t get paid for all of this extracurricular work, I am excited about the potential change of pace along with the potential that switching tasks is a sign that I’ll be employed for at least a couple more months.

Good morning crickets. Welcome to day number one-hundred-seventy-five of Operation Achieve Anything. It’s Sunday and I’m feeling like garbage. I don’t know what’s going on with my back. It felt like it was getting better yesterday morning but by the time evening came around I could barely even walk. The weird thing is, this is a new pain that’s very sporadic as to when it will act up. So I’ll be getting around just fine and then, BAM, out of the blue I’ll feel like I’m about to collapse.

Not only am I excited by the fact that it’s Saturday and I plan to spend most of my day marathon watching whatever on my brand new Netflix account, but my back is feeling ten times better ever since I started to add a PM pain relief pill into the mix of my sleepy time regiment. At least I hope that’s the case because the constant pain as really been dragging me down.
