365 Days Of Marketing And Me: Day Forty-Six - 2/15/2021
/One Creative Introverts Effort To Take On The Extroverted Marketing World…
Welcome to day number forty-six of 365 Days Of Marketing And Me… where I’m excited to see that this website is showing signs that it’s healthy once again… and my traffic and revenue are no longer stagnant and low the way that they were at the start of this challenge… ah the joys of working on a project where it can take up to a month to see the benefits of any fixes/change that I make…
Though it sucks to have to drop my goal back down to making a dollar a day… when I was close to making three bucks daily before the technical issues… I’m back to what I was making daily when I using Google AdSense alone… before Ezoic gave me the boost to where I started to make the three bucks a day that I just mention… so… this way… when you get to the bottom of each page… you’ll get to see this site’s growth as if I just started my monetization effort from scratch…
As I said in the past… I don’t even really care if Ezoic actually works… I was happy enough with how their AI makes my page look more professional with the way that they place their ads when compared to the clock bait looking mess that I had when I set Google AdSense to auto-place ad with the ads to be placed set to the max… because I have no idea what I’m doing as far as marketing goes…
I highly recommend Ezoic to any creative types out there who have a bunch of content and no idea how to monetize their work because this is the first time that I feel hopeful that I found a monetization feature that might actually work with what I’m doing… keeping in mind that this recommendation is just based on my feelings from my experience with them so far…
This is why I will share their stats at the end of each 365 Days of Marketing And Me post… so we can all see how well the service actually works altogether… which I think will be pretty fun… especially since I’ve already got a bunch of content for this test… if it works well enough… I may test their service by using a website that I build completely from scratch to see how long it will take to make a creative blog profitable…
With that… I’m done with the marketing portion for today… now let’s see how I handled yesterday’s assignment…
According to the 365 Days Of Marketing book… and the rest of the world… yesterday was Valentine’s Day… and as a shut-in/single… I didn’t really have a way to celebrate this day of love… but… I did figure that I would technically stick to the theme by starting to work on my heart health… with the same focus that I put into the health of this website…
In order to do so… I finally started to use my exercise bike again… having only used it a hand full of times before I used my sinus surgery as an excuse to “go easy on myself…” I’ve been meaning to get back to it but kept finding reasons to put it off… until last night… when I rode the bike for ten minutes… yeah… yeah… that’s not that long… but it’s also a start to effort…
Before I lost the feeling in my left foot and most of the leg… I used to be pretty good at sticking to the Fitbit goal of getting in ten-thousand steps a day… and though I’m still mobile… I can’t travel all that far because I’m afraid of the condition worsening to the point where I can’t make it all the way back home… which what happened to start the last round of sciatic that seemed to be the jump-off point to the nerve issues that I’m dealing with now…
Having the bike… I can fit in a little cardio… and if my leg or lower back do act up again… I can fall right off and land on the gigantic Love Sac bean bag that I inherited and that my dog then stole as her bed… so… I’ll have to keep an eye out for her before I drop… I really need to keep on this… because I’m bigger than I’ve been in my entire life… and though I’m trying to diet… I need more exercise… considering the fact that I was completely spent after yesterday’s ten-minute effort…
So… I may not have given anyone a candy-filled card to express my love on this romantic holiday… but I do feel like I did fulfill my Valentine’s Day task by triggering a bunch of activity in my chest… as my lungs and heart danced while I pedaled away…
And that’s how I handled the task from yesterday… now let’s see what the book has in store for me today…
The 365 Days Of Marketing book says that today is Organ Donor Day… which should be an interesting one considering how my organs would probably be rejected by the doctors if I were to ever turn them in… at least that’s how I used to joke… but… these organs of mine must work rather well… because whenever I get my blood work done the results show that I’m as healthy as a horse… so imagine how healthy my blood would be if I actually put in the effort… this is also a difficult task… because I don’t know if I can fit in a donation by the end of today… so… we’ll have to wait for tomorrow’s post to see how I handle this task!!!
Below are the statistics that I promised towards the top of this post…
