365 Days Of Marketing And Me: Day Forty-Eight - 2/17/2021

One Creative Introverts Effort To Take On The Extroverted Marketing World…

Welcome to day number forty-eight of 365 Days Of Marketing And Me… where I found out yesterday that when I upgraded my Cloudflare account up to Pro… it somehow disconnected me from my advertisement server… which is why my revenue for the past few days have been a little lower than usual… which is kind of a lot lower considering how low my revenue is on a typical day… when all is going well…

I’m a little annoyed that I didn’t get any form of warning or notification that this happened… and I had to find out on my own… considering the accounts are integrated… which I thought meant that I wouldn’t have this sort of cross-platform communication issue… but… when it comes to doing anything thing online… I’m learning to expect any form of error at any time… and how to troubleshoot any issue on my own… since I’m apparently not all that good at communicating my issues with support workers…

Aside from working through this error with marketing-related tools… last night I also continued my effort to track down any webpage throughout this site that is still throwing 404 errors… because it turns out that I have way more than I first thought… no that I’m using Google Analytics to manually check every single link on the list of pages that make up this site…

The SEO tools only seem to find a few at a time… because I’ve been fixing each 404 error as soon as one would pop up… until I’d get the error count down to zero… only to have a hundred more pop up with the next scan… or when I try a new tool… speaking of which… I’ve been so busy with this 404 task that I’ve yet to really dig into what SEObility has to offer… but I will let you know what I think within the next couple of days… as soon as I’m done hunting for 404s…

Until then… I’m going to say that my marketing effort for today is over… and now it’s time to find out how I handled the assignment from yesterday…

According to the 365 Days Of Marketing book… yesterday was Do A Grouch A Favor Day… and… I openly admit to being a grouch myself… at least ever since I decided to move back how… after living on my own for over twenty years… keeping in mind that nobody at home is to blame for my grouchiness… I just get frustrated easily when dealing with the new life limitations that I’ve been experiencing as my mental and physical health has been on the decline…

Part of me wanted to technically fulfill this task by doing a favor for myself… but… I figured I would use this assignment as a way to pat my own back for doing my grouchy sister and her grouchy boyfriend an unthanked favor by helping to watch their kid whenever I’m needed… I don’t want to sound like I’m complaining since their kid is also my nephew… who I have no problem hanging out with… it would just be nice if I was thanked every once in a while… instead of being treated like a ghost by his parents…

I only sort of take this personally… considering the fact that they treat most people this way… but I also give the same treatment back… because I never learned any tools… aside from avoidance… to work through this sort of conflict… which is probably why I’ve become such a shut-in after losing my last group of friends… who I lost to maturity as they decided to take on adulting… while I still wanted to focus on my craft… having never wanted any kids and/or home loans… which I always knew would lead me to be grouchy old and alone…

And that there concludes the assignment from yesterday… now it’s time to introduce the book’s theme for today…

The 365 Days Of Marketing book says that today is PTA Day… which once again is a hard one for me to think of a task to create some sort of task to stick to this theme… I mean… I just shared that I’ve never had an interest in being a parent… so what sort of interaction would I ever think to have with the PTA… with that said… this isn’t the first time where I’ve felt stumped… so I’m sure that I’ll figure something out before tomorrow’s deadline… until then… I’m off to find more 404 errors…

Below are the statistics for today…
