365 Days Of Marketing And Me: Day Sixty-One - 3/2/2021

One Creative Introvert’s Effort To Take On The Extroverted Marketing World…

Welcome to day number sixty-one of 365 Days Of Marketing And Me… and I didn’t do all that much as far as any marketing efforts go because… as much as I’d love to… I can’t always devote as much time to this site as I would like… especially at this time when it’s barely bringing enough money each month to meet the minimum requirements to make a withdraw of earned funds…

That said… I do try to fit in as much time as I can… and did manage to track down and fix a few dozen more SEO errors while still taking advantage of the free month that I’m enjoying from SEObility… which is getting frustrating… not because of the service… but… most of the issues that are left to fix are issues that I’m already aware of… and plan to get to during the next phase where I plan to test a few On-Page SEO Tools… while revisiting every single page on this site to optimize each image…

I’m getting close to feeling that I’m ready to take on this phase… but… I still want to finish the queue of free marketing courses first… the next class on said list… was actually produced by Moz… I’m excited about this course… because… so far… Moz has been my favorite SEO service… and I can’t wait to see what new insights the instructor’s insights might bring…

This course is around three and a half hours long… so… I may or may not end up with enough time to complete all of the lessons tonight… but… I will definitely start… now that all of the Leap Year replacement celebration days are done… and I can go back to hiding in my room instead of hiding my anxieties over trying to avoid the attention of being in the spotlight on my special days… that were only technically mine to celebrate…

With that… I’m done with the marketing portion for today… now let’s see how I dealt with the task that I chose to fulfill yesterday’s theme.…

According to the 365 Days Of Marketing book… yesterday was National Beer Day… which in the past… would have been an easy task to come up with in order to meet today’s theme’s needs… but… a couple of weeks ago… I gave up drinking alcohol all together… at least until the end of this marketing challenge… keeping in mind… I’ve only been drinking once a month for the past couple of years… so I’m not giving up all that much… if you’re reading this and know me from the past…

Since I couldn’t drink any beer with booze… I decided to look up what’s going on in the world of near-beer… since the last that I tried a non-alcoholic beer… all that they had was O’doul’s, and maybe a fancy brand that I can’t remember right now… I was super excited to see that they had a non-alcoholic version of Pabst Blue Ribbon… my favorite white trash beer from back when I was a daily drunk…

They have these twelve-packs available on Amazon for around thirty bucks… which was very discouraging… because I couldn’t believe the price of all of the near beer available… so I started to think that I may have to do something else to celebrate National Beer Day… but then I found they had them available at BevMo for only around ten bucks

Even though it meant having to find a trip to the store… instead of having my near-beer Pabst delivered to me… I opted to only spend ten dollars for the twelve-pack in the picture above… and you know what… it tasted just like shitty beer… only a tab bit more watery… which might be hard for some to believe… considering the fact that most beer snobs already complain about the watery taste of the original…

Without any potential to get drunk… I wasn’t the biggest fan… but… I don’t really mind that I only sort of liking the taste… and how after drinking it… I need a bit of a break… which is not the case with beer that contains alcohol or even with soda… that I can drink all day… unless I make an effort to stop at just one… maybe if I opted for near-beer instead of soda… I could stick to one twelve-ounce can whenever I crave carbonation… which is why I turn to soda so much…

Then again… I’m probably best off drinking nothing but water… either way… this is how I decided to celebrate the theme for today…

And now that I’ve shared how I drank fake beer as yesterday’s homework… let’s see what theme the book has for me today…

The 365 Days Of Marketing book says that today is Old Stuff Day… and though I don’t know how I plan to come up with a task to celebrate today’s theme… I do know that I have a tone of old stuff around me to figure something out… and as always… I can’t wait to not only see what I manage to do…but I also can’t wait to figure out a fun way to try to share the assignment with you… when I return tomorrow with the next update!!!

And now… to wrap it all up… below are my statistics for the last seven days…

Keep in mind… I’ve barely spent money on ads a few years ago… do not do much as far as social media goes anymore… and killed the eight years worth of authority points by changing my URLs without properly handling the 301 directs… but… this challenge is meant for creative types with content but no business or marketing skills… that there may just be a way to make a few bucks from their craft… so I’m fine with the low numbers at this point… since it feels like I will be able to show any progress from scratch…
