365 Days Of Marketing And Me: Day Eighty-Two 3/23/2021
/One Creative Introvert’s Effort To Take On The Extroverted Marketing World…
Welcome to day number eighty-two of 365 Days Of Marketing And Me… where I’m continuing to plug away… adding metadata to all of The Daily Breaker posts from 2015… I was able to complete 2014 in exactly a week… but I’m now a week and a half into working on the 2015 batch and I’m not even halfway done… because the monotonous task was a fun change of pace at first… but now it just feels like a chore…
It doesn’t help that looking ahead… I still have six more years’ worth of Daily Breaker entries to add metadata to… I may need another break to take some form of marketing class or some other marketing task really soon… to make sure that I don’t completely give up on the task… but more importantly… these redundant tasks make it really hard to feel inspired while writing this first portion of each post…
It may also help if I were to write each 365 Days Of Marketing And Me before falling into a brainless trance as I copy, paste, and edit… which I have been doing as my morning warm-up the moment I get out of bed… though I do feel warmed up as far as the act of typing goes… it leaves me feeling cold when it comes to wanting to share… unlike when I’m taking a course… or doing something new… where I can ramble without any care…
I can’t wait to get back to working on those types of inspirational tasks… but for now… I can only try not to write another post just like this…
Until then… I’m considering today’s marketing segment to be done… now let’s move on to see how I handled the task from yesterday…
According to the 365 Days Of Marketing book… yesterday was Common Courtesy Day… which is a day that I celebrated by staying out of everyone’s hair… with the hopes that everyone would stay out of mine… but sometimes I can’t tell if this actually is common courtesy or if it’s mutual indifference… to where… the people that I live with who I “don’t bother”… might not even know that I’m there…
In the past… I would only give what I received because I had a big personality that wasn’t for everyone… so I would only show it to those who I knew wanted to play along… now it’s more about knowing that I’m now a bore who’s easily irritable in real-life… so I feel that it’s a courtesy from me that I leave everyone else alone… and I take the fact that the avoidance is returned as an act of common courtesy…
I’ll also take this explanation as the fulfillment of yesterday’s theme…
And with that… I’m going to consider the celebration of yesterday to be done… now it’s time to see what the book has in store for today…
The 365 Days Of Marketing book says that today is Chips And Dip Day… which may be my favorite themed day since starting this challenge… considering the fact that when asked what my favorite meal was as a child… my answer was “chips and dip”… but… I’ll delve deeper into that story when I check in with tomorrow’s post… but for now… it’s time to try to find something fun to do to drum up more inspiration in general… we’ll see if this helps the next time I check in…
For now… to wrap it all up… below are my statistics for the last seven days… now complete with speed stats…
