One Creative Introvert’s Effort To Take On The Extroverted Marketing World…

Welcome to day number eighty-five of 365 Days Of Marketing And Me… and last night… I switched things up by going back to an old SEO task that I thought I completed months ago… for this task… I had to remove all of the links to NBC throughout all of the My Saturday Night Life reviews… these links pointed to every sketch that was available at the time I was working on that challenge…

It’s not that there’s an SEO rule that drove this decision… but I think NBC took down a ton of content when they released their Peacock streaming app… so… rather than hunt down every single dead link to a sketch… I decided to get rid of them whole-hog… to avoid having to maintain all these links that can just go dead on a whim…

And that was my marketing effort for today… now let’s move on to see how I handled the assignment from yesterday…

According to the 365 Days Of Marketing book… yesterday was Organize Your Home Office Day… and I’m glad it was “Organize” and not “Reorganize” because… “Organize” just meant that I had to tidy up… which is what I ended up doing to celebrate the day… but… I’m only going to share the workstation area… since I only focused on the home office and not the rest of my living space… so I couldn’t figure out how to get a wider shot without catching the rest of the mess…

Not that the rest of the space is that terrible… considering the fact that I spend about 90% of my non-sleeping hours… while I am in here… sitting at my desk… all I really need to do is pick up the dirty laundry and breakdown the packaging from my Amazon orders… and I’d pretty much be done… but… with the back of mine… grabbing things from the ground isn’t as easy as it used to be…

I know… I know.. I should just keep this stuff off the floor in the first place… but this isn’t about the rest of the room… today I successfully celebrated Organize Your Home Office Day… so get off my back… :p

And with that… I’m going to consider the celebration of yesterday to be done… now it’s time to see what the book has in store for today…

The 365 Days Of Marketing book says that today is Make Up Your Own Holiday Day… and part of me wants to create a holiday that will give me the next couple of days off… so… if I go silent over the weekend… that’s why… but… I might not go that route… because I’m afraid that losing the streak of not missing a day will lead me to take weeks off… then months off… then next thing you know… I’m on to another task… I don’t want to do that again… but I also don’t want to burn out again… oh well… we’ll see what I come up with… when I check in with my next post… which may or may not be tomorrow…
