/I wish I had more time in my life to work on what I really want to work on and not spend most of my time trying to set up a life purely aimed at making money. Granted my goal is to just make enough money to get buy in order to be able to afford to live while I work on what I'm truly passionate about, projects that may never see the light of day but make me feel fulfilled as I work toward completing this convoluted plan of mine, but even if I achieve this goal I feel I will never be free from the dependency of funds that there is no escaping if you live on this planet.
Don't get me wrong, I understand that there is work to be done but between the automation and outsourcing the world should be evolving to the point where not everyone needs to be forced into earning a traditional living. That's not to say that I don't want to contribute and that those that choose to explore unconventional lifestyles should be fully funded to live like kings, but as we continue to advance as a civilization different approaches toward life need to be explored.
Sure you can point out that other places on this planet have it much worse off but I think the answer is to work toward fixing their problems over striving to live a lower quality of life out of guilt. The people fighting for scraps shouldn't be comparing woes while there are people who throw their scraps away get to reap the benefits from raping the world of its resources for profit.
If we started to build things without planned obsolescence, made to be upgraded instead of replaced and live more efficiently overall we could all calm the fuck down and stop racing toward the end as if any of this is going to matter at all when we are dead.
I never signed up for this game and as far as my reality goes it stops with me. I'm not bringing any other players into this game so I don't even have the excuse of wanting to leave the world a better place for my children. I just want the world to be a better place because we've worked hard to get here and it's time to get over the battles from the past.
The problem is, as advanced as technology has gotten it's still nothing but a bunch of cavemen at the wheel. Hopefully, all the chaos in the world is a sign of evolution as the dinosaurs fight to keep things the same but these dinosaurs will die someday which will probably lead to the transition into the Age of Technology to be complete.
I just hope I live long enough to see this happen.
Oh well, that's my rambling for today.
Talk to you tomorrow,
