I just realized another great benefit of being able to set my own schedule, granted I've done this a few times in the past but it wasn't until last night that I looked at it as a strategy and not just something I happened to do.

Last night I was up past the point of being able to retain any new knowledge, so taking another lesson for my class was out of the question. I also wasn't feeling inspired enough to write but there was no way that I was ready for sleep.

I wasted some time playing a dumb addictive game that I found on my favorite time killing site, with hopes that slumber was just around the corner. Unfortunately though, I'm currently on a sleep cycle that doesn't require much shut-eye.

As it got later and later, I could tell that I wasn't going down anytime soon so I decided to give up and since it was several hours past midnight, I decided to just start my next day. Luckily, I set my own schedule so I was able to get to work and by about 4:30 in the AM I was already done with a major bulk of my daily obligations and the fact that its Friday means that I pretty much started my weekend a day early.

Now, all I have to do is post this post and fit in a quick workout and the rest of the next three days are all my to do what I want.

The theme of this week's Wicker posts has been my attempts to find a balance between writing and schooling. I think the writing is to blame for the sleepless nights but I've also managed to find my groove while taking my latest app building class.

I think my enthusiasm was slow to grow because I'd already taken a similar class so the first few classes felt repetitive and slow. This repetitive slow feeling had nothing to do with the content of the instructor's style, in fact, this teach is ten times better than the last. It only felt slow because it was introductory information that I had just been introduced to less than a month ago.

Now that I'm into the actual assignments and feeling challenges, I can't wait to learn, so, that is the plan for this weekend.

I am going to take advantage of my light schedule and try to complete as much of this class as I can over the next three days. Then once the course is over, I will switch my focus to writing until I complete my second draft. At this time, I will also switch my focus to building a non-assignment app for a soft launch of my new career.

I'm once again enthused about life!!!

We'll see how long that last?

Talk to you tomorrow with another update,
