I can't believe it's Friday already. I'm not fully sure what happened to this week. I think the time sped by extra quickly because I spent most of the evenings hopped up on cold medicine. I'm still feeling a little sick but I'm fine enough to focus.

This morning I woke super early to a rumbling gut that I'm pretty sure was caused by a combination of the cough syrup and this magical elixir that I'm drinking as part of this cleanse that I'm on. Again, I don't really believe in all the benefits promised by this detoxing drink but I do find these fade diets to be a useful transition into eating better.

I already went into that in past post so I will get back to what I was saying.

So, I woke super early to rush to the bathroom where my liquid diet rapidly drained from my bowels. The release was disgustingly impressive but not the point of my tale. It was about 4:36 in the AM and after I cleaned myself up I decided to step out and check on my plants.

I've found that since I started gardening I really like to check in on my future food whenever I get the chance. I've never seen them this early in the dawn. The sun had yet to rise but the sky was getting light and my plants were reaching up to the sky like fine hairs just before a lightning strike. I've never seen anything like that before, or at least I've never noticed.

I wish I had the wherewithal to take a picture because it was quite the site to see. It literally looked as if I were to cut one of the stems the plant would have launched off into space because they appeared to be reaching so intensely.

Sure I've seen indoor plants grow in weird directions as they try to chase the light but I'm surprised that I've never heard of this early morning yoga of plants reaching for the first light of the day.

Maybe this will lead to the connection with nature that I need to enjoy a nice hike in the woods. I definitely wouldn't say that I'm there yet but my overall interest is piqued now that I'm learning to grow.

We'll see what happens tomorrow.

Talk to you then,
