Sometimes I miss being mental. Now when I say this I am by no means making light of anyone else's disability. In fact, I am not making light of anything at all. When I say I felt mental, I mean it. I'm not one of these people that claim to have OCD just because they prefer to tidy up their desk before they get to work. No, when my mind goes out of whack I have a tendency to lose my grasp on reality and pretending I'm grounded is what makes me lose my mind.

I have a wedding to go to when I wake in the morning which is technically later today. It's now 1:00 in the AM so again, I dance with technicalities as to whether or not I am writing in advance to get ahead of the day. Since I am a night owl I will have to wake and go even though my departure time is early in the afternoon, probably moments after I hit the publish button to make this link go live.

I'm now starting day for with my Fitbit and am doing a pretty good job. So far I've met all the daily goals. Throughout the working hours of my day, I stick to moving at least 250 steps every hour, that along with my regular activities gets me around three-quarters of the steps I need to complete the 10,000 steps a day target. I then end the day with a dog walk to get those final set of steps.

A couple days ago I received a Fitbit as a late Christmas gift after my oldest sister informed my mom how great the thing is at keeping her active. Since I've been working on my weight since the start of the year, she figured it might help me stick to my goal. Up until this point, I've been aware of the technology but the actual device was out of my price range so I didn't give it much thought other than something I might look into when I land a full-time job.

I'm really loving this new schedule that I've come up with for myself. This morning I woke up around the average time I usually wake up and then made myself a cup of coffee and breakfast to then sit down and enjoy while watching today's episode of Saturday Night Live. It was such a nice way to ease into the day while technically being productive in the process.

I think I'm going to change The Daily Breaker to be an end of the day post instead of being something that I do upon waking. When I first started this segment, I was working on the 365 Day of Resolution and this was purely meant to be a checklist of the resolutions that I planned to work on that day, so this would have to be done first thing in the morning since it was what I used to set my day.

As I grow older and older I'm beginning to buy more and more into the idea that we are living in a simulation of reality. I wouldn't say that I believe this in literal terms as in we're living in a computer and everything is digital but it wouldn't take much more evidence to pull me into that crowd. The simulation I am talking about is a forced perspective that is dictated by those who control our "history."
