Operation Achieve Anything: Day Thirteen, Dateline 1-13-2018

Welcome to the second Saturday of Operation Achieve Anything!!! So far, I'm beginning to find it interesting that a lot of these early assignments are aimed at accomplishing goals that I've already either contemplated and/or implemented in the process of developing this blog. I guess this makes sense considering I've been at this going on five years, so I must know a little something about how to achieve a thing or two. Now I just need to figure out how to achieve earning money for my efforts.

Holy Moly, this might be my latest start to a day that I've experienced since the paradigm shift where I began to prefer writing my blog post first thing in the morning as opposed to waiting for the sun to go down to be stricken with inspiration. Luckily, this should be an easy one thanks to the fact that yesterday's assignment was a thought experiment and I've already watched today's episode of SNL and just have to write the review.

I've been worried about two out of the last three assignments out of the Achieve Anything... book due to the fact that they've been aimed at taking inventory of the people you're close to in life. Thankfully, these assignments have been thought-experiments as opposed to calls to action because, as a shut-in, I'm extremely nervous about the inevitable day where I will be assigned to reach out in an active attempt to get people to join in on my efforts.

I wasn't expecting yesterday's assignment to hit me as hard as it did. I guess I shouldn't have been all that surprised since my low self-esteem's always caused me to get too emotional whenever I've had to paint myself in a positive light in the past, so this really should have been expected. I find it much easy to beat people to the punch and highlight my flaws while explaining them away over pushing myself as a product.

Welcome to week number two of Operation Achieve Anything!!! If the rest of this challenge/year goes as smoothly as week one, I'll be a very happy camper by this time next year. Whether or not I actually meet my goal, the Achieve Anything... book that I'm using as a guide is giving me a sense of legitimacy when writing these Daily Breaker blog posts by providing a linear structure to this segment as opposed to the daily ramblings that I used to do.

Yesterday, I felt a little guilty that I would be putting in a bare minimum day in order to take a quick refreshing break to decompress after a night out with my cousin and friend. I didn't even do any drinking since I feel like I slightly broke myself on New Year's Eve and am just over the whole hangover thing. The primary source of my exhaustion was interacting in general which was followed by a horrible night's sleep on the couch.

Just got back from a night hanging out with my cousin and an old friend. It was a pretty fun night of non-event based rambling and jokes which is probably the biggest things that I miss from my old life. Now, I mainly talk to people during holidays, birthdays, and other extravaganzas where the is pressures from perfection that lead the conversations to seem contrived which was much easier to deal with back when I had a social life.

Here we go with day five of Operation Achieve Anything, making this the end of my first work week of this challenge. So far so good, but that might just be due to the fact that we are still in the early stages of this venture and all of the tasks are super easy. Though I can't wait to get into the meatier tasks in this book, I'm glad there is a slow ramp up since there are still 360 days to go after all.

I really like having a prepared topic to write about for these Daily Breaker posts because working from the Achieve Anything book provides an extra sense of focus. I see a benefit in this focused writing in that it gives more of a professional feel to my work, to the point where I feel I could use any of the four posts I've written so far as a resume writing sample.

Even though I went into this Operation Achieve Anything without doing any prep-work, other than buying the book that's providing the guidance, in an effort to avoid ruining any surprises, I couldn't help but start with the goal that I intended to achieve. In fact, this challenge has a bit of a chicken vs. egg aspect to its development where I don't know if I discovered the book first or if I was trying to find an interesting way to get to said goal when the book was discovered.

Yesterday ended up being a drag of a day being that I celebrated a little too hard on New Year's Eve, after napping through the actual year change over by five minutes which gave me the energy to then stay up until damn near noon finishing the leftover booze. There was a while where I started to get super nervous that I might end up sleeping through the entire day of this new Operation Achieve Anything challenge, but I ended up fitting it in with plenty of time to spare.

As I said in last night's midnight post, this year, I will be working through the self-help book Achieve Anything In Just One Year for my new challenge, Operation Achieve Anything. This will take the place of my Daily Breaker posts since I plan to use this new challenge to provide structure to my daily ramblings to no one.

First off, HAPPY NEW YEAR’S everybody!!! It’s been a crazy year that I’m glad is finally over and done with, then again, aside from the news and world events this year wasn’t all bad when it came to the personal projects that promoted emotional healing. In fact, apart from the world issues, this might have been the best year that I’ve had in quite some time.

Alright, the big day is here, well, at least the day before the day that at the same time is also technically the day, especially when you factor in the fact that I don't consider it to be tomorrow until I sleep and then wake up. What these rambling means is that at midnight/tomorrow I will be sharing a post to officially announce the two projects that I plan to add to my workload for next year.

I've got four days left and quite a ways to go in order to get everything I need done in time for New Year's Eve. Hopefully, I'll be able to avoid any more distractions that come along during this time of year, like my sister's quick visit last night that distracted me from getting all that much done last night. My younger but not youngest sister is heading back to Colorado this evening so I do have a quick last visit planned with her but that should take place around noon when I usually take my midday break anyways so it shouldn't lead to too much of a setback.

This is going to be an interesting next couple days as I rush to wrap things up to finish up my year while I also try to do all of the prep work for the two project that I plan to start on the first. In order to free up some time and make it so that I don't have to jump back and forth between multiple tasks, last night I watched and reviewed five episodes of SNL in order to be able to take the rest of the week off from that task while still meeting the review a day average that I set as a goal for the SNL challenge.

Good morning people. I have a quick question to start the day, why do have to be so aggressive toward other when giving advice on the internet? Last night, I tried out a weighted blanket that I got from my mom for Christmas in her effort to help me with my insomnia. I heard about these a long time ago and thought that they could help based on how comfortable I feel when they put that lead vest on me at the dentist.
